
Alexander Floyd King
Director
Alexander F. King serves as a director in the Tulsa office of Crowe & Dunlevy. Mr. King is the chair of the franchise law practice area. Mr. King practices primarily in litigation and franchise law but also practices in the areas of corporate law, labor and employment and intellectual property. In the area of franchise, Mr. King's practice includes:
· Franchise litigation services and other franchise related dispute resolution · Franchisee bankruptcy and litigation
· Drafting and analysis of franchise agreements and disclosure statements for franchisors and franchisees
· Trademark and other intellectual property matters
· Consultations with franchisors and franchisees on development and operational issues
· Advising clients in analyzing specialized issues pertaining to technology and product distribution agreements
· Mergers and acquisitions of franchise companies
Prior to rejoining the Firm, Mr. King served as a corporate attorney for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc., a Tulsa-based Fortune 1000 Company. Prior to serving as corporate attorney, he was an associate with Crowe & Dunlevy where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and franchise law.
Mr. King is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Tulsa County Bar Association. He is a board member for the Oklahoma Child Care Resource & Resource Association, an organization motivated to ensure that all Oklahoma children have access to quality care and education. In addition, Mr. King serves on the board of the Flo and Morris Mizel Jewish Community Day School board.
In June of 2007, Mr. King was asked to speak at the Young Lawyers Seminar “Advanced Litigation Skills for Taking Your Case through Final Verdict”. Sponsored by the Defense Research Institute (DRI), he presented "The Hub of the Wheel - Having a Coordinated National Litigation Plan" at the seminar.
Mr. King is a graduate of University of Kansas (B.A., 1995) where he played division I baseball. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1998) where he wrote for the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal.
