
Tony Rupert is a civil trial lawyer and the veteran of over 40 civil trials. He has won a verdict of over a million dollars on three occasions, and has successfully defended trials in cases seeking over $50 million dollars on several occasions. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
His principal areas of practice include construction project disputes, commercial disputes and product liability and toxic tort litigation. For example, in the area of construction contract disputes, Mr. Rupert has successfully tried several large construction project disputes in many courts in Oklahoma and Texas, as well as in the U.S. Court of Claims in Washington D.C. In the area of commercial litigation, Mr. Rupert obtained a defendant’s verdict in a $70 million dispute involving a large midwestern bank, while in the area of toxic torts, Mr. Rupert obtained a defendant’s verdict in a 139 plaintiff case in a month-long trial in federal court in Oklahoma City.
In addition, although Mr. Rupert is not a patent lawyer, he works in tandem with members of the firm’s Intellectual Property Section to try their matters that involve litigation.
Mr. Rupert is a graduate of Harvard University (B.A. 1977, magna cum laude), and Stanford Law School (J.D. 1980). He has served as an adjunct professor of Trial Techniques at the law schools at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University on numerous occasions. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Business Litigation, and Construction Law. He has been a shareholder at Crowe & Dunlevy since 1988.
