Summer Associates

In the Summer Associate Program, Summer Associates spend approximately one to eight weeks working with Firm attorneys and learning how to provide superior representation to our clients. Under the supervision of the Firm's attorneys (typically one paired Shareholder and one Associate), Summer Associates conduct legal research, attend legal proceedings, and prepare pleadings, transactional documents and memoranda in a variety of legal matters.

Summer Associates work with as many attorneys as possible. Although most Summer Associates have not determined the particular area of law in which they ultimately would like to practice, some Summer Associates have specific preferences regarding areas of interest, and we make an effort to give assignments in those areas.

In weekly lunch meetings with our Summer Associates, we have different Firm attorneys discuss various topics, including an overview of the Firm's history, the Firm's numerous areas of practice, compensation system, and other Firm related issues.

Our Summer Associate Program is the primary means of identifying possible new Associates, and it is therefore our goal to provide as accurate a picture as possible of the work that Associates will perform once they join the Firm. In addition to performing legal work, we want our Summer Associates to experience the environment and culture of the Firm. Various social activities are also planned to give Summer Associates the opportunity to interact with Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys on a more relaxed basis.
