Minority Recruitment and Retention
Crowe & Dunlevy’s recruiting committee is charged with, among other duties, actively recruiting talented minority students and attorneys. These efforts include working with the diversity committee in implementing and administering the Crowe & Dunlevy Minority Scholarship Program, contacting law professors and minority organizations at various law schools each year to identify minority law students for employment consideration, participating in the Sunbelt Minority Recruitment Program and the ABA Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) Annual Career Fair; supporting minority-related associations at the law schools in this region; and supporting advertising efforts in minority-related publications. These efforts have been successful over the last number of years: Crowe & Dunlevy’s recruiting class of 2004 was 21% racial and ethnic minority law students and 47% female law students, the 2005 recruiting class was 33% racial and ethnic minority law students and 27% female law students, and the 2006 recruiting class was 28% racial and ethnic minority law students and 22% female law students.
