Former Federal Prosecutor Joins Crowe & Dunlevy
During his tenure with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Holmes exhibited superior leadership skills, including several years as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division.

After a distinguished career marking 11 years of service as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, Jerome A. Holmes is entering private practice and joining the law firm of Crowe & Dunlevy in its Oklahoma City office. Mr. Holmes will focus his practice on complex litigation matters, with emphasis upon white collar criminal defense, civil regulatory enforcement and employment litigation.
During his tenure with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Holmes exhibited superior leadership skills, including several years as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division. He also demonstrated great skill and talent as a trial attorney. Mr. Holmes was a member of the Oklahoma City Bombing prosecution team from April 1995 to February 1996 and was trial counsel in the widely-publicized public corruption trial in October 2000 of Deputy Commissioner of Public Health, Brent VanMeter. In January 2003, Mr. Holmes was appointed to the highly sensitive position of Anti-Terrorism Coordinator, in which he was responsible for coordinating the prosecution activities of the local U.S. Attorney's office in the war on terror.
Mr. Holmes' work garnered him many awards and accolades from the Department of Justice, including the prestigious John Marshall Award given out by the Attorney General of the United States for outstanding legal achievement, and also commendations from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Mr. Holmes received his Juris Doctor in 1988 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. He received a B.A. degree in 1983 from Wake Forest University, graduating cum laude. In addition, Mr. Holmes earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he was a John B. Pickett Fellow in Criminal Justice Policy and Management. Mr. Holmes is an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, serving in a leadership position on its Board of Governors, and has been nominated to be the OBA Vice President in 2006.
