Jimmy Goodman Inducted as Oklahoma State Delegate to ABA House of Delegates

Mr. Goodman won a hotly contested state-wide race for the seat, which carries a three-year term.

Oklahoma City trial lawyer, Jimmy Goodman, was inducted as the Oklahoma State Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates at its August 2005 Annual Meeting in Chicago. He will lead Oklahoma’s delegation in the ABA House of Delegates.

Mr. Goodman won a hotly contested state-wide race for the seat, which carries a three-year term. The ABA House of Delegates debates and decides important policy decisions which define the position of the ABA on critical legal matters of national interest, which impact our system of justice and practicing attorneys across the country. It also selects the leadership of the ABA. The ABA is the largest voluntary professional association in the world, with over 400,000 members.

Mr. Goodman, 59, is President of Crowe & Dunlevy, P.C., the largest and one of the oldest firms in Oklahoma, with offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Norman. He is a past President of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation and the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and has served in numerous leadership positions for the ABA during the past 20 years, including several ABA Presidential appointments and a three-year term on the ABA Section of Litigation Council, which makes policy affecting ABA trial lawyers.

Mr. Goodman has been trying cases in Oklahoma and surrounding states since 1973, and is currently listed among the Best Lawyers in America, in the specialty of commercial litigation. He also tries cases involving banking, insurance, products liability and real estate disputes.
