Crowe & Dunlevy Foundation makes $20,000 Leadership Pledge to Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc.
The $20,000 pledge from the Foundation is the leading gift among all law firms in the State of Oklahoma this year.

The Crowe & Dunlevy Foundation, Inc., a charitable organization established by statewide law firm Crowe & Dunlevy, announced today that it has made a leadership pledge of $20,000 to the Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma 2006 Fundraising Drive. The $20,000 pledge from the Foundation is the leading gift among all law firms in the State of Oklahoma this year.
Crowe & Dunlevy attorney Thomas R. Brett, retired United States District Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma and chair of the statewide 2006 Fundraising Drive, states "The endorsement and backing of the private bar in providing legal assistance to low income individuals and families is critical to fulfilling the American promise of equal justice for all. We are most effective when we help to underwrite the work of the experienced poverty law attorneys at Legal Aid than if we were to attempt to take on similar cases ourselves as pro bono." With respect to the Crowe & Dunlevy pledge, Judge Brett observed, "Crowe & Dunlevy leads the way for the private bar in Oklahoma with this commitment."
Crowe & Dunlevy President Jimmy Goodman described the gift as "a reflection of the Firm's commitment to the core values of service to the profession and community." In keeping with Crowe & Dunlevy's philosophy of giving back to the community in Oklahoma, the Firm's shareholders decided in 1985 to contribute an established portion of their monthly income to a charitable foundation to be known as the Crowe & Dunlevy Foundation. From its inception through 2005, the Foundation has provided financial support in excess of $1.6 million to more than 400 deserving charitable and non-profit organizations.
