OKLAHOMA CITY — Creative Oklahoma recently elected Gail Huneryager to serve on its board of directors. Formed in 2006, Creative Oklahoma is a statewide nonprofit organization that promotes and catalyzes creative idea generation in individuals and institutions. The group will host the Creativity World Forum Nov. 15 – 17 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
Huneryager serves as director of business development for the law firm Crowe & Dunlevy. In this role, Huneryager oversees marketing, public relations and business development activities for the Oklahoma practice. She has been awarded the Hermes Creative Award in 2009 and 2010 for excellence in strategic marketing communications programs.
Huneryager is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City and Leadership Oklahoma and volunteers with Allied Arts, United Way, the YWCA and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She has served on the boards of Carpenter Square Theater, Canterbury Choral Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities and ASTEC Charter School. Huneryager was a member of the 2009 “Go Red for Women” Executive Leadership Team and was co-chair of last year’s Arthritis Foundation inaugural “Bone Bash” gala. Currently, she is a trustee of The Library Endowment Trust and For Youth Initiatives Inc. and serves on the board of The First Tee of Metropolitan Oklahoma City.
