Crowe & Dunlevy was recently announced as a 2010 Communitas Award winner in the leadership in community service category. Communitas Awards, an outgrowth of the Association of Business and Communication Professionals pro bono program, are aimed to recognize businesses, organizations and individuals who exhibit excellence in volunteerism, philanthropy and ethical or sustainable business practices.
Judges found Crowe & Dunlevy’s entry clearly demonstrated the spirit of communitas, a Latin word meaning people coming together for the good of a community in the areas of leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy.
In 2009, every member of the firm’s leadership team served in at least one board position, and 90 percent of the firm’s attorneys currently serve on boards or are active in some type of leadership or volunteer activity.
