Firm also announces 2010-2011 executive committee
Crowe & Dunlevy has re-elected Roger A. Stong president and named its fiscal year 2010 executive committee. Stong, who joined the firm in 1985 and was named president in April 2008, is leading Crowe & Dunlevy for the third consecutive year.
Selected to serve on the firm's executive committee are Kevin D. Gordon, William H. Hoch, III, Cynda C. Ottaway and Randall J. Snapp.
Stong, who also chairs the firm’s Business Department and Corporate and Securities Practice Group, is an experienced business lawyer whose practice focuses on corporate, securities and bankruptcy reorganization law. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in corporate governance and compliance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities and venture capital law.
Stong serves as a director of the State Chamber of Oklahoma, as well as the Oklahoma reporter for the State Limited Liability Company and Partnership Laws. Gordon chairs the firm’s Health Care Litigation Practice Group and co-chairs the Insurance and Employee Benefits & ERISA Practice Groups. He concentrates his practice on health care litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and administrative law.
Gordon is listed in The Best Lawyers of America in health care law. He serves on the United States Chamber of Commerce's Employee Benefits Committee and is immediate past chair of the American Health Lawyers Association’s Payors, Plans & Managed Care Practice Group. Gordon has also served on the board of Youth Services for Oklahoma County for 25 years.
Hoch serves as director at Crowe & Dunlevy, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, loan work outs, consumer law, copyright and trademark infringement, antitrust and related litigation. He is listed in The Best Lawyers of America in bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law. Hoch is vice president of business development for the firm and serves as a member of the American Bar Association's Committee on the Law Library of Congress. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the City Rescue Mission, a local homeless shelter.
Ottaway, who serves as vice president of economics for the firm, concentrates her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration and litigation and planning for closely-held family businesses. Ottaway is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in trusts and estates, and is listed as The Best Lawyers’ 2010 Oklahoma City Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year. Ottaway is a director and a past regent of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Foundation and serves on the boards of Allied Arts, Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation and United Way.
Snapp focuses his practice in employment law, workers' compensation law and commercial litigation. His practice includes counseling and litigation involving a full range of employment issues, and he is a former president of the Employment Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Snapp is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in employment law and is a frequent lecturer and instructor on employment law subjects. Snapp is a board member of the Diocese of Tulsa Catholic Charities, is on the Executive Board for the Indian Nations Council of the Boy Scouts of American and is an advisory director of the Tulsa Ballet.
