Oklahoma law firm Crowe & Dunlevy has awarded Toni Caruso the $1,000 B. Jo Balding Scholarship for Students in the Legal Assistant Education Program at the University of Oklahoma Law Center.
“Crowe & Dunlevy is proud to award this scholarship to Toni in honor of Jo and her outstanding service,” said Kevin Gordon, president of Crowe & Dunlevy. “We hope Toni’s career will be as long and as successful as Jo’s has been with our firm.”
After more than 25 years of experience in the legal industry, Caruso will complete the Legal Assistant Education program this May. She will sit for the National Association of Legal Assistants paralegal certification exam this spring upon completing her coursework at the University of Oklahoma Law Center.
The Crowe & Dunlevy Foundation established an annual $1,000 scholarship to assist one University of Oklahoma Law Center student enrolled in the Legal Assistant Education program in his/her pursuit of a career in the legal field in honor of longtime Crowe & Dunlevy paralegal B. Jo Balding. Balding has served the firm for more than 50 years with professionalism and dedication.
To qualify for the scholarship, Caruso had to be enrolled in the Legal Assistant Education program at the University of Oklahoma Law Center and be in academic good standing with at least a 3.0 grade point average for her most recent term (high school or college) at application submission.
