OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Oklahoma College of Law featured Crowe & Dunlevy attorney William G. Paul as its special guest speaker for the Oklahoma Law Review Banquet held April 11 in the Kerr McGee Lounge of the Lloyd Noble Center at the University of Oklahoma Norman Campus. Paul spoke about hot topics in law that are in need of good law review treatment, getting involved in the legal community and effectuating positive change and provided advice for young lawyers.
Paul, who serves of counsel in the firm’s Oklahoma City office, delivered a speech preceding the banquet’s awards presentation with 115 attendees. Dean Emeritus Andrew Coats, also of Crowe & Dunlevy, introduced Paul. The private event celebrated the year’s accomplishments and recognized those who have made valuable contributions to the excellence of the Oklahoma Law Review. Invitees included Oklahoma Law Review members, sponsors and University of Oklahoma College of Law faculty.
He is locally and nationally recognized for his leadership, ethics and service. He has served as president of several legal associations, including the Oklahoma and American Bar Associations, the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
Paul has received numerous accolades for his dedication to the legal field and the community. He was recently honored with the American Bar Foundation Outstanding Service Award. He was also recognized by the Oklahoma Bar Association with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000, as well as the Spirit of Excellence Award for his commitment to diversity in the legal profession.
