Firm also announces 2012-2013 executive committee
OKLAHOMA CITY – Crowe & Dunlevy has elected Kevin D. Gordon president and named its fiscal year 2012 executive committee. Gordon, who joined the firm in 1984, is a director and has served on the firm’s executive committee for several years.
Also selected to serve on the firm's 2012 executive committee are John M. Thompson, Gary R. McSpadden, Timila S. Rother and William H. Hoch.
Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1984, Gordon chairs the firm’s Administrative and Regulatory Practice Group. He concentrates his practice on health care litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and administrative law. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in health care law. Gordon serves on several civic and charitable boards, including Youth Services of Oklahoma County, Inc. and the Oklahoma County Bar Association board of directors.
Thompson, a director at Crowe & Dunlevy, has focused his practice in the litigation of complex business and commercial transactions. His practice covers a wide range of commercial and business litigation matters, and regularly involves litigation relating to financial institutions, real estate transactions, construction disputes, aircraft transactions, securities and mergers and acquisitions. He also has extensive experience representing financial institutions in connection with debt restructures and loan workouts. Thompson is the vice president of economics for the firm.
McSpadden, a director in the firm’s Tulsa office, is an experienced banking and commercial and real estate finance lawyer who has handled a wide range of complex financing transactions, focusing his practice on commercial lending matters. He has represented large Oklahoma, regional and money-center banking institutions and other lenders concerning a variety of sophisticated working capital, real estate and agency financings and other secured transactions.
Also a director in the firm, Rother has experience ranging from litigation in class action, insurance, business, and health care litigation cases to appellate work. She also has experience in ethics and legal malpractice cases and is loss prevention and claims counsel. Rother is co-chair of the ABA Professional Liability Litigation Subcommittee for Attorneys' Loss Prevention and Ethics and a member of the Oklahoma Legal Ethics Advisory Panel.
Hoch serves as director at Crowe & Dunlevy and chairs the Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, loan work outs, consumer law, copyright and trademark infringement, antitrust and related litigation.
