Indian tribal leaders from Oklahoma and Kansas gathered Friday, October 16, 2009 in Pawnee, Oklahoma for a meeting with Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Interior Larry Echo Hawk.
The event was billed as a 'Listening Conference' where Indian leaders talked with Echo Hawk about water and land rights, higher educaton and gaming issues. Crowe & Dunlevy and the Pawnee Nation College sponsored the meetings that continued through Saturday, October 17, 2009.
