Six Crowe & Dunlevy Attorneys Honored at Best Lawyers 25th Anniversary Event

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorneys Andrew M. Coats, Allen D. Evans, James H. Holloman Jr., Robert M. Johnson, D. Kent Meyers and Henry P. Rheinberger of Crowe & Dunlevy will be recognized by Best Lawyers, the country’s original and most well-respected lawyer-rating directory, during its 25th Anniversary Event in Atlanta, Ga., in April 2009. 

 

Coats, Evans, Holloman, Johnson, Meyers and Rheinberger have all been listed in Best Lawyers since the publication’s inception 25 years ago. The event is intended to honor their work and dedication to the profession and their communities. All proceeds generated by the event will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Coats serves as of counsel with Crowe & Dunlevy.  He currently resides as the Dean of the University of Oklahoma College of Law and as Director of the Law Center. He has extensive experience in litigation and trial, product liability and white-collar crime laws. A former president of Crowe & Dunlevy, Coats has also served as Mayor of Oklahoma City and District Attorney for Oklahoma County.

 

Distinguished and honored in his field of law, Evans serves as an advisory director in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. With more than 40 years of professional experience, Evans focuses his practice in trusts and estates and tax. His extensive knowledge is reflected in his lectures at various institutions on estate planning and estate administration.

 

Holloman brings more than 27 years of experience to his practice, which focuses on taxation, trusts and estates, corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA and employee benefits and international business. He serves as the chair of the firm’s Taxation Practice Group, chair of the Non-Profit/Charitable Foundations Practice Group and co-chair of the Employee Benefits and ERISA Practice Group.

 

Johnson serves as of counsel for the firm, where he brings four decades of practitioner experience, as well as experience on contracts and real estate laws. Johnson is an active leader in his community. From 1996 to 1998, he served as the chairperson of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. The President of the United States appointed Johnson to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Trust, and the Mayor of Oklahoma City appointed him to the Murrah Federal Building Memorial Task Force.

 

Meyers’ practice focuses on commercial litigation and antitrust law. He has tried numerous antitrust and complex commercial litigation cases and has handled patent, copyright and trademark matters. Meyers is one of two co-founders of Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, a non-profit group that provides volunteer lawyers to work with Public Defenders’ in representing deprived children in Juvenile Court. 

 

Rheinberger serves as a director in the firm’s Oklahoma City office where he specializes in commercial real estate. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Real Property Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association in 1993.
