Tulsa County Bar Association Announces Crowe & Dunlevy Attorney Christina M. Vaughn as President

Vaughn continues nearly a decade of service to the Tulsa County Bar Association 

OKLAHOMA – Crowe & Dunlevy attorney Christina M. Vaughn was recently announced as the 2017-2018 president for the Tulsa County Bar Association (TCBA), a professional association that provides a number of services and benefits to the local legal community and to the community at large, such as continuing legal education and attorney referral services.

Based in Tulsa, Vaughn is vice-chair of the firm’s Indian Law & Gaming Practice Group, and a member of the Litigation & Trial and Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Practice Groups. She has represented clients in commercial litigation, business torts, environmental, oil and gas, and Native American law proceedings.

A considerable portion of Vaughn’s practice is focused on Native American law. She is admitted to practice in several Indian Nation courts, as well as currently serving as attorney general for one of the largest Indian tribes in Oklahoma. For small business, corporate and commercial clients, Vaughn’s work often includes commercial contracts, uniform commercial code issues, joint partnership and management agreements.

Her professional honors include receiving the TCBA’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award and Outstanding Community Service Award. Vaughn has been selected for inclusion in Oklahoma Super Lawyers publication (2013-17), named a Top 25 Women Oklahoma Super Lawyers (2015) and a Rising Star in the areas of Native American law, civil litigation defense and environmental litigation (2009, 2011-12). Vaughn was also selected in Chambers USA for Native American law and Tulsa Business & Legal News’ Tulsa 40.*

Vaughn received her Juris Doctor and a certificate in Native American law from the University of Tulsa College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
