What to Expect

"Many of us that are involved in the Summer Associate Program came to Crowe & Dunlevy through that process and appreciate and value that experience immensely. As a result, we want our Summer Associate Program to be a memorable experience, both personally and professionally, for everyone that is a part of it. Our goal is to provide countless opportunities to our Summer Associates in an effort to help shape their career paths, which we hope will be as future leaders of our firm."

Working with Attorneys

The recruiting committee matches summer associates with Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys by taking into account individual personalities, practice area interests and breadth of experience.

The firm recognizes that many summer associates may not be certain as to what they want to do with their career, and we encourage them to accept projects from several different attorneys and practice areas. By the end of the summer, we hope that our summer associate class has worked with as many of our attorneys as possible and can narrow down, or has a better sense of, his or her desired career path.

Lunch & Learn

Our Lunch & Learn Series is an opportunity for the summer associates to learn about certain areas of our practice, and to introduce them to our senior shareholders and/or other members of the business community.

Experiences vary each summer, but the common theme includes professionals from inside and outside the firm who share life and legal experiences, enriching the summer associate experience.

Evaluations

Evaluating our summer associates' work is a critical component to our program. Each project is evaluated by supervising attorneys. During a mid-summer evaluation, the recruiting chair for Oklahoma City or Tulsa discuss feedback on their legal projects. At this meeting, the summer associate is encouraged to let us know if there are any practice areas they would like to experience, or any out-of-office events they would like to attend. In addition, summer associates are encouraged to separately meet with the respective attorneys who provide them projects to work on for one-on-one feedback.
