Ban the Box becomes Law of the Land for State Employers in Oklahoma

Convicted felons oftentimes experience rejections and denials in the employment application process which can lead to recidivism, larger jail and prison housing costs and an increased tax burden on the public. For these reasons, Governor Mary Fallin signed an executive order directing all state agencies to strike questions about prior felony convictions from employment applications. More
