Crowe & Dunlevy Attorney Appointed Associate Justice of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Supreme Court

Crowe & Dunlevy attorney and Citizen Potawatomi Nation member Jennifer N. Lamirand was recently appointed as associate justice of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Supreme Court. As a member of the tribal court, she will enforce tribal laws, provide equal justice to all and protect tribal sovereignty.

Given her outstanding scholarship and professional experience, she deserves this honor and will make an excellent Associate Justice,” said D. Michael McBride III, chair of Crowe & Dunlevy’s Indian Law & Gaming Practice Group. “Her leadership and prior tribal matters experience will serve her well in this new role.”

Based in the firm’s Oklahoma City office, Lamirand is a member of the Indian Law & Gaming, Litigation & Trial, Securities Litigation and Insurance Practice Groups. She primarily focuses her practice on federal Indian law, tribal law, securities law, and contract law, and acts as an Assistant Attorney General or Assistant General Counsel for several tribal nations in Oklahoma.

Lamirand graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School where she received her Juris Doctor, holds a Master of Laws degree conferred with merit from the London School of Economics and Political Science and graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English.
