Tulsa CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) recently presented Crowe & Dunlevy’s Tulsa office with the “Heart of CASA” award during their 30th Anniversary and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration in recognition of the firm’s support of the nonprofit. CASA trains volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. The firm has sponsored a holiday gift-giving event for CASA for the past several years.
“We are proud to support the worthy efforts of Tulsa CASA,” said Randall Snapp, director at Crowe & Dunlevy. “This cause is close to our hearts, and we encourage others in the Tulsa community to learn more about CASA and to volunteer their time or dollars to help speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children in our community.”
Most recently, Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys and staff filled 36 laundry baskets full of food and holiday treats for families, as well as 20 stockings with goodies for teens. The gifts were distributed at the Tulsa CASA holiday party that included children who have a case pending on the deprived docket of the Tulsa County District Court Juvenile Division, the foster families with whom those children are temporarily living and the CASA volunteers who advocate for them.
