Christina M. VaughnAttorney

Christina Vaughn is a director in the firm’s Indian Law & Gaming, Litigation & Trial and Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Practice Groups. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation, business torts, oil and gas, environmental and Native American law, and currently serves as attorney general for one of the largest Indian tribes in Oklahoma.

An extensive portion of Christina’s practice is dedicated to Native American law. She is admitted to practice in the following courts: United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma, Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and the United States Court of Indian Offenses. Christina is also licensed to practice in Oklahoma and several of its federal district courts.

In addition to her substantial Native American practice, Christina’s clients vary in industry and range from small businesses to corporate and commercial clients. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in transactional matters such as commercial contracts, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) issues, class actions, management agreements and joint partnership agreements.

Christina was honored with the Tulsa County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award and Outstanding Community Service Award. She’s been listed in the Oklahoma Super Lawyers publication as a Super Lawyer in 2013 – 2017, one of the Top 25 Women Oklahoma Super Lawyers in 2015 and a Rising Star in the areas of Native American Law, civil litigation defense and environmental litigation in 2009, 2011 and 2012.** Christina has been named by Chambers USA as Up-and-Coming in 2017 and ranked in Native American law.** She has also been named to Tulsa Business & Legal News’ Tulsa 40.**

An Oklahoma native, Christina earned a Juris Doctor and certificate in Native American law from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northeastern State University.
