Evan Vincent’s practice involves representing clients in a wide variety of complex and high stakes civil litigation matters and he regularly serves as lead counsel from pre-filing through the completion of the appellate process in disputes involving numerous different areas of law. His caseload consists of matters pending in state and federal courts inside and outside of Oklahoma, and he has tried cases to verdict in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania. Evan has particular experience with product liability lawsuits, catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, shareholder disputes in closely held companies, construction disputes, and lawsuits involving the oil and gas industry.
Evan earned an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple Law School in 2020, and in that program he received the Faculty Award for outstanding achievement in courtroom presentation and performance. He has taught Civil Pretrial Litigation as an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law since 2016. He was recognized as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America in 2019, achieved the Advocate designation from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 2016, and has an AV peer review rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named a Rising Star by Oklahoma Super Lawyers since 2012, been named an Oklahoma Future Star by Benchmark Litigation since 2018, been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List in 2016 and from 2018-2023, and has been listed in Best Lawyers for Appellate Practice since 2019.*

Representative experience includes*:
- Obtained a verdict for his client, the plaintiff, in a breach of contract jury trial in Pennsylvania state court;
- Prevailed on an affirmative defense that significantly reduced the defendant’s liability to the plaintiff in a jury trial in federal court in Arkansas;
- Obtained summary judgment on all claims asserted against a minority owner of an LLC who was alleged to have damaged the business and obtained summary judgment on liability for that minority owner’s counterclaim against the majority owner;
- Successfully defended the chief executive and largest owner of an Oklahoma LLC from allegations of mismanagement and self-dealing;
- Obtained a reversal of the trial court’s verdict and a ruling from the appellate court that the trial court enter judgment in favor of his client in a matter involving collection of the defendant’s personal guaranty of a $5 million dollar debt;
- Served as lead trial counsel for the defense in a federal court jury trial in which the plaintiff alleged intentional interference with prospective economic advantage;
- Served as trial counsel for a creditor in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding and successfully obtained a ruling that denied the debtor’s discharge;
- Successfully represented multiple oil well operators sued for catastrophic injury or wrongful death in which the plaintiff alleged that gases escaping from an oil tank battery caused the injury;
- Obtained a directed verdict for the defendant at the close of plaintiff’s case in a federal court jury trial involving ownership rights in a $24 million natural gas gathering system;
- Successfully represented the general contractor in a million dollar payment dispute with the owner, bank and 27 subcontractors that arose from the construction of a fraternity house at the University of Oklahoma
