Evan Way is an associate in Crowe & Dunlevy’s Oklahoma City office. Evan’s litigation practice includes representation of individuals and businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes in federal and state court and before numerous administrative agencies. His primary focuses are employment law, commercial litigation, and administrative law. Evan has received recognition as a Super Lawyers – Rising Star for General Litigation and as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Labor and Employment Law – Management and Litigation.*
Evan’s labor and employment practice is devoted to counseling and defending employers faced with claims of sexual harassment, disability, gender, age, race, national origin and religious discrimination, wrongful discharge, and various employment-related torts. Evan also works with employers to develop policies, procedures, and employee handbooks on a wide range of workplace-related issues, including harassment avoidance, disability discrimination, and compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. Evan also represents employers before the Oklahoma Department of Labor and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission’s Appeal Tribunal and the Board of Review.
Evan has successfully defended businesses and individuals in individual proceedings before the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, Oklahoma Management and Enterprise Services, Federal Aviation Administration, and numerous professional licensing boards. Additionally, he is well versed in appellate procedures which result from individual proceedings and has advocated for clients through the appeals process. Additionally, Evan counsels clients on regulatory licensing and compliance with a number of Oklahoma agencies including the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, and Alcoholic and Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission.
Prior to attending law school, Evan worked for the Department of Defense as an aircraft mechanic and later as a logistician. During this same time, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in supply chain management from the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma and later completed his Master of Business Administration degree from the Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University.
Evan continues to serve his state and Nation as a Major in the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
