Lauren KiefnerAttorney

Lauren Kiefner is an associate in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. Lauren is a member of the Appellate Practice Group and has experience representing clients before both the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals and the Oklahoma Supreme Court, including successfully applying to the Oklahoma Supreme Court to assume original jurisdiction and issue a writ of prohibition. Her love for brief writing has led her to maintain an active litigation motion practice where she has advocated for and defended clients in a broad range of complex commercial disputes in state and federal court. As a member of the Administrative & Regulatory Practice Group, Lauren also advises clients on a wide variety of issues involving state agencies and the laws and regulations that govern them, including the Open Records Act, the Public Competitive Bidding Act, and the Central Purchasing Act, among others.

Lauren graduated cum laude from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Business Law. During law school, Lauren was a senior editor for the Washington University Law Review, received two CALI awards for top performance in legal writing and served as a judicial intern for Justice Noma D. Gurich of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Baylor University where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Honors College and Phi Beta Kappa.
