Baxter Lewallen, an associate in the firm’s Oklahoma City office, assists in the representation of broker-dealers and financial institutions on matters of compliance as a member of the Litigation & Trial and Securities Litigation, Enforcement & Compliance Practice Groups.
Receiving his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, Baxter graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. In addition to being named the OCU Law Outstanding Graduate for 2020 and the Judge Dwain Box Memorial Award recipient for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy, he received CALI Awards for academic achievement in seven different subjects. During law school, he was a member of the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy team in 2019 and 2020—placing in the top 10 for Oral Advocacy at the 2019 regional competition—and was named Academic Fellow for Contracts in 2018.
Prior to law school, Baxter attended Washington and Lee University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English before serving as a field representative in the U.S. Senate. In 2016, he was selected for inclusion in Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL Class XII.
