This session will explore recent key precedential decisions from the National Labor Relations Board.This session will also discuss whether and how employers should update their policies and handbooks in light of these decisions.

Attendees will learn about 2023 employment law updates. This session will review the Pump Act and the FTC’s proposed rule regarding noncompete clauses. It will also highlight the most recent U.S. Supreme Court Decisions that may impact employers along with other legal issues that arose in 2023.
2024 Gains: A Look Ahead at New Employer Requirements. | Evan Way (11:10 am – 12:10 pm)
In this presentation, Evan will discuss the DOL’s new independent contractor rule set to take effect in March, the FLSA’s proposed rule changes for exempt employees, and accommodations under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. Evan will also discuss best practices for the above and how to effectively implement policies for employers.
