Businesses re-opening after a temporary shutdown due to the global pandemic may soon receive legal protection from state and federal governments.

Labor & Employment Practice Group member Melissa McDuffey discusses two key Senate bills designated to protect Oklahoma businesses at the Oklahoma Legislature that we are monitoring:

  • SB 1947/COVID-19 Product Protection Act (products liability/civil liability immunity)
  • SB 1946 – protection from lawsuits due to exposure or potential exposure to COVID-19 (civil liability immunity)

We will keep you updated as these bills continue to progress. Visit the firm’s COVID-19 Resource Center for all legal developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
