Crowe & Dunlevy Attorneys Honored as Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers

The National Black Lawyers (NBL) recently named Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys Andre’ B. Caldwell and Anthony Hendricks to its list of Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in Oklahoma City. This honor is given to a select group of lawyers for their superior leadership skills and qualifications in the field. Crowe & Dunlevy is the only firm in Oklahoma to have two attorneys on the list, and attorney Christopher M. Staine is the only Oklahoma lawyer listed in the NBL’s Top 100 Lawyers directory.

Membership in the NBL is by invitation-only and is limited to the top 40 attorneys in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers.

Caldwell is a director in the Criminal Defense, Compliance & Investigations and Litigation & Trial Practice Groups in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. He represents private and public companies of various sizes in all aspects of commercial litigation, preparing criminal compliance guidelines and conducting corporate criminal risk assessments. Additionally, he represents individuals charged with state and federal law violations.

Prior to joining the firm, Caldwell gained experience at the Western District of Oklahoma U.S. Attorney’s Office as an assistant U.S. attorney assigned to the Violent Crimes/Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. In this role, he received an FBI Director’s award for his outstanding prosecutorial skills.

He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2008. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and government from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

Hendricks serves as an associate in the Bankruptcy & Creditor’s RightsEnergy, Environment & Natural ResourcesLitigation & TrialCriminal Defense, Compliance & Investigations and Administrative & Regulatory Practice Groups in the firm’s Oklahoma City office.

Hendricks has experience in environmental compliance, regulatory permitting and litigation. He frequently represents clients in environmental matters before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. Hendricks has a strong administrative and regulatory practice, often appearing before agencies including the Oklahoma Health Care Authority and the Oklahoma Ethics Commission. In the criminal defense arena, Hendricks represents clients in federal and state courts facing criminal charges, internal investigations and grand jury investigations, and those in negotiations with enforcement agencies.

Hendricks received his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and holds a master’s in public policy and administration and a master’s in politics and communications from the London School of Economics. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
