As you are likely aware by now, in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the U.S. has recently enacted several laws, each of which has provisions which affect employee benefit plans, and the responsibilities of employers who operate them, including through amendments to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
