Duncan A. Merchan-BreuerAttorney

Duncan Merchan-Breuer is an associate in the firm’s Oklahoma City office representing clients as a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. As a registered patent agent, Duncan focuses on a variety of IP related areas, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets to protect clients’ assets. His background in mechanical engineering not only provides Duncan with industry-specific knowledge but also supports the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to effectively address clients’ needs.

Duncan graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was a two-time Top 10 Comfort Scholar and selected into the Order of the Coif. During law school, he received the Frank and Edna Asper Elkouri Scholarship, the Joseph F. Rarick “Just Deserts” Award, and American Jurisprudence Awards in Trademarks, Constitutional Law, and Remedies. He also served as an Articles Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review and was a member of the Intellectual Property Society and the Latin American Law Student Association.

Duncan earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to law school, he worked as a Systems Engineer for The Boeing Company at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.
