How do I support attorneys and clients in labor and employment litigation matters?
I excel in bringing resources, organization, research, and careful preparation to each litigation matter. Having worked on employment complaints at both the administrative and litigation levels, I have gained knowledge of the process and understand the importance of clear communication, attention to detail and helping clients know what to expect as a matter moves forward.
Supporting employment matters through every stage of litigation
Brandy Jaynes primarily assists attorneys in the Labor & Employment Practice Group with employment-related litigation, agency matters and case preparation. She helps build a clear understanding of the facts by gathering and organizing client information, preparing case summaries and timelines, managing client intake materials and coordinating documents needed for agency responses, discovery and litigation. Brandy also helps with responses to complaints filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) and other governmental agencies, while supporting document management and the drafting of pleadings and other federal and state court filings.
Bringing valuable agency experience to law firm matters
Before joining the firm, Brandy served as a paralegal with the Office of Civil Rights Enforcement (OCRE), where she handled the administrative processing of employment, housing and public accommodation complaints across the state. In her current role, she focuses on both the administrative and litigation phases of the process after a lawsuit has been filed. This unique combination of administrative and litigation experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the entire life cycle of an employment-related complaint.
Taking a leadership role in the legal assistant community
Brandy is a board member and Recruitment Chairman of the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants (COALA), where she participates in professional development initiatives for legal assistants and paralegals. Through COALA, she helps support continuing education opportunities, including programs featuring attorney speakers and training focused on the continued development of legal professionals.
