How do I help a litigation team build a case from the ground up?
I approach my work by looking beyond just the task in front of me and trying to understand the case as a whole. I want to know why we are making a particular argument or pursuing a particular strategy, because the more familiar I am with a case, the better I can anticipate what the attorneys and clients need and provide meaningful support.
Building a strong factual foundation for litigation
Lori brings almost three decades of experience supporting litigation, including 15 years at the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General. Her work has included the early stages of cases, where she conducts witness interviews, gathers facts and helps identify the evidence and potential witnesses needed to develop the defense. She has significant experience supporting attorneys through trial preparation and trials.
Meticulously applying the rules that govern each case
Much of Lori’s value as a paralegal comes from her close attention to the procedural requirements that determine how a case procedurally moves forward. She makes a point of knowing the filing requirements and response deadlines for the courts involved, as well as the rules governing discovery and other aspects of litigation, so that the attorneys she supports have a well-organized and reliable foundation for their work.
Supporting commercial litigation across practice areas
At Crowe Dunlevy, Lori supports the firm’s commercial litigation, bankruptcy and product liability practices, bringing experience that can be applied across a range of litigation matters. Her previous work with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and several private law firms has given her deep experience and insight, allowing her to work effectively with attorneys, courts, clients, evidence and case materials throughout the life of a matter.
