Diversity Scholars Program

Overview

Scholarship Program

Since the program’s inception at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2005, the Crowe Dunlevy Diversity Scholars Program has assisted 22 law students with financial assistance of more than $240,000. The program commenced at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2012 and was reinstituted at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2019.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, need and commitment to the law. Scholarships may be renewed for a recipient in each of the two remaining years of law school, based on satisfactory progress and performance.

Externship

The firm now offers an externship opportunity as part of its Diversity Scholars Program.

Scholarship interviews take place during the spring semester of the 1L academic year, and scholarship recipients are announced shortly after the completion of those interviews. Each Crowe Dunlevy Diversity Scholar scholarship recipient will qualify to participate as an extern in our Oklahoma City or Tulsa office during the fall semester of the student’s 2L academic year. The externship is designed to provide Crowe Dunlevy Diversity Scholars practical experience, mentorship and academic credit. Externship offers are subject to approval by the firm’s Executive Committee.

The externship is a partnership with the existing externship programs at Oklahoma City University School of Law, University of Oklahoma College of Law and the University of Tulsa College of Law and is subject to each institution’s requirements. Please visit the respective university’s website for information on program requirements.
