Crowe Dunlevy Helps Preserve Historic Frank Lloyd Wright Landmark

Jul 14, 2026

Crowe Dunlevy represented the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, a national nonprofit dedicated to preserving Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures, in a high-profile dispute involving the historic Price Tower in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The Conservancy sought to enforce a conservation easement protecting the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed skyscraper ever constructed, after learning that historically significant furnishings and fixtures were being sold and the property was not being properly maintained.

Working alongside co-counsel and guiding the matter through complex litigation, including related bankruptcy proceedings, the Firm helped secure a resolution that protected the Conservancy’s interests, facilitated the sale of the property to preservation-minded owners, and enabled the recovery of items that had been improperly removed from the building. The litigation concluded with a favorable settlement for the Conservancy, helping ensure the long-term preservation of one of Oklahoma’s most significant architectural landmarks.

In recognition of our attorney’s efforts, the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy selected the firm to recieve a “Conservancy Award” for providing extaordinary assistance in advancing the Conservancy’s education and preservation mission.
