OKLAHOMA – Crowe & Dunlevy recently named Scott Butcher to a director position. With nearly a decade of experience, Butcher will continue to work from the firm’s Oklahoma City office to represent clients as part of Crowe & Dunlevy’s Energy, Environment & Natural Resources and Litigation & Trial Practice Groups.
Butcher’s practice focuses on complex contract disputes, environmental liability litigation and regulatory enforcement and compliance for clients in petroleum, renewable energy, agriculture, mining, property development and more. He also serves individual litigants and advises clients regarding water use regulation and litigation, as well as administrative appeals. In addition to litigation in court, he has represented clients before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and Oklahoma Water Resources Board.
With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a law degree from New York University School of Law, Butcher has clinical experience working with the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York and spent time working for the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma in the Criminal Division Violent Crimes section. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association.
