Deric McClellan is an associate in the firm’s Tulsa office. Deric’s practice includes representation of individuals and businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes in federal, state, and tribal court. His primary focus is complex business disputes, and he has worked on a broad range of litigation matters at both the trial and appellate level, including cases involving eminent domain, RICO, landlord-tenant law, products liability, negligence, breach of contract, constitutional torts, non-compete agreements, and riparian rights.
Previously, Deric served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephanie K. Seymour on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable John E. Dowdell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Deric graduated with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2016 and was honored with the Order of the Curule Chair. During law school, Deric served as the Articles Research Editor for the Tulsa Law Review and was named the Oklahoma Bar Association Outstanding Senior Law Student in his graduating class. He also received the prestigious CALI Award for Academic Excellence in twelve classes.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
