Hw do I assist clients with their legislative and regulatory concerns?

My role is to help clients accomplish their objectives by providing careful preparation, prudent judgment and keen insight to matters involving government, legislation and regulation. I enjoy advising organizations in finding common ground, developing sound legal strategies, and moving complex initiatives forward in a thoughtful, collaborative way.

Apply decades of public leadership skills to deliver client service

Glen Johnson advises businesses, educational institutions and other organizations on complex legislative, regulatory and governmental matters at the state and federal levels. He helps clients navigate important challenges and opportunities involving legislation, economic development initiatives, regulatory issues and public policy, often serving as the coordinating attorney for multidisciplinary teams handling significant projects.

Bringing diverse interests together

Throughout his career, Glen has earned a reputation for helping a wide range of stakeholders reach consensus on complex issues. Clients value his ability to identify the key legal and policy considerations, organize complicated projects, and keep negotiations productive, even when competing interests initially appear far apart. Recent matters have included helping structure legislative solutions for energy industry clients, advising on incentive packages for major domestic and international companies and coordinating efforts involving legislators, executive branch officials, industry organizations and community stakeholders.

Building strategy through preparation

Before entering private practice, Glen served as Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, president of a public university and Chancellor of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. Those significant leadership roles, combined with his solid legal background, give him a broad understanding of how legislation, regulation and public institutions intersect with business objectives. Clients appreciate his thorough preparation, strong communication skills and ability to translate complex governmental processes into practical guidance that supports informed decision-making.

Remaining focused on emerging issues

As co-chair of Crowe Dunlevy’s Government Relations, Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group, Glen continually monitors legislative and regulatory developments that may affect his clients’ interests, allowing him to provide timely counsel as laws, regulations and public policy evolve. His leadership within national organizations, including presentations on economic development, state incentives, and governmental affairs to organizations such as Lex Mundi, helps him remain current on issues shaping investment, infrastructure and business growth regionally and beyond.

Continuing a tradition of leadership and service

The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Glen was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, named Chancellor Emeritus of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education and recognized nationally, in many ways, for his leadership in higher education, public service and the legal profession. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to helping clients resolve complex challenges with professionalism, collaboration and a steady focus on achieving practical, lasting results.
