How do I help clients resolve disputes?
I love being a litigator, although I consider myself more of an advocate. I relish the writing aspects of it; tackling discovery, depositions and trial prep; and being in the court room and showing a judge or jury that we have a strong case and have left no stone unturned. Growing my career at the premiere litigation firm in Oklahoma, I am always happy to get that call about a new trial matter.
Handing a wide range of litigation matters
Jayci focuses her practice on general litigation. Her experience includes contract disputes, construction-related matters and catastrophic injury cases such as those involving commercial vehicles and insurance coverage. She values the broad variety of litigation practice the region allows, and the opportunity to learn the details of each client’s business and legal challenges.
Committed to being a resource for her community
Jayci has built her legal career in Oklahoma, beginning with summer clerkships at the firm while attending the University of Tulsa College of Law. Growing up near Tulsa and choosing to remain in the region has given her a strong connection to the community and the people who shape its businesses and institutions. This understanding and knowledge, including of area judges and opposing counsel, also positions her as a strong local counsel resource for non-Oklahoma firms that are litigating here.
Making a living doing what she loves
Jayci will regularly find herself working late, drafting a brief. It isn’t always imminently due; she just gets really caught up and wants to keep going. She cites a similar example of a partner jumping on a call even though he’s on vacation. “They say you should find what you love doing and then do that for a living,” she offers. “From what I’ve observed, you’ll find a lot of those people here at Crowe.”
