How do I help clients with their intellectual property matters?

I enjoy helping clients navigate the patent process from beginning to end, making what can seem complicated feel organized, manageable and on track. Every interaction matters to me, so I approach my work with professionalism, attention to detail and respect for the people I serve. Whether I’m coordinating with inventors across the globe or working alongside our attorneys, I want clients to know they can count on me—and I always like to end my conversations with a simple reminder to “take care.”

Keeping global patent portfolios moving

With four decades of legal experience, including nearly 30 years dedicated to patent law, Rhonda McGee supports clients through every stage of worldwide patent prosecution. She prepares and manages patent filings from application through grant, oversees docketing and billing, coordinates client communications, and helps keep complex intellectual property portfolios moving efficiently. Her broad responsibilities have earned her the reputation of being a “hybrid paralegal,” combining technical knowledge with the organizational skills needed to manage an entire patent prosecution practice.

Solving problems before they become obstacles

Working daily with inventors and clients throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, Rhonda understands that responsiveness and precision make a meaningful difference. She takes pride in staying ahead of deadlines, anticipating issues before they arise, and bringing attorneys practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems. That proactive mindset contributes to efficient client service and has helped support one of the firm’s largest international patent relationships.

Building trust through communication

Rhonda believes strong client relationships begin with courtesy, accountability and clear communication. She interacts with clients every day, providing documents for review, answering questions, and guiding them through each step of the patent process with patience and professionalism. When mistakes happen, she believes in owning them, resolving them quickly, and maintaining the trust that clients place in the team.

Finding purpose in work and family

Rhonda continues to expand her knowledge of IP law, embracing opportunities to learn new developments that strengthen the service she provides to clients and attorneys alike. Outside the office, she remains active in her community and church, and she has coached youth cheerleading and soccer. She also treasures the flexibility her career has provided, allowing her to assume guardianship of her two grandchildren and devote herself to helping them build a bright future.
