How do I fully understand my clients’ businesses, objectives and issues to help them succeed?

I’ve always had a great deal of intellectual curiosity about my clients’ businesses. I thoroughly enjoy visiting client businesses on site so I can experience firsthand their organizations operate. This enables me to collaborate closely with them to address concerns, pinpoint needs, resolve problems, identify goals, and set legal strategies that align with their business goals to insure, as their counsel, I’m complimenting business goals and, hopefully, their future success.

Drawing on extensive experience serving both sides of the dispute

In his national bankruptcy practice, Will Hoch focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency cases for both creditors and debtors, foreclosures, receiverships, bankruptcy trustees, commercial disputes, real estate issues, trust and estate litigation, business valuations for bankruptcy purposes, tax planning purposes, estate planning purposes and other related litigation. He advises clients in an array of industries, including financial services, real estate, oil and gas, electricity, mortgage lending and servicing, telecommunications and healthcare. Because Will advocates for creditors as well as debtors, he applies knowledge gained from both sides to best help his clients, whether they’re a distressed company or a financial institution recovering assets.

Diving deeply, working efficiently, and advocating vigorously

Bringing decades of experience and an impressive record of multiple successful restructuring outcomes, Will delves into each financial situation and comes up to speed quickly. He always looks to resolve matters as efficiently and inexpensively as possible, but, if the courtroom is the best venue to settle the issue, Will battles tenaciously on behalf of his clients. His dogged protection of their interests extends to disputes involving estate taxes, fraud and probate issues.

Distilling complexities, cultivating trust, putting people at ease

With excellent communication skills, Will breaks down complex factual and legal matters, demystifies concepts, and presents them in a clear, understandable format tailored to his audience, whether that’s a client, judge or jury. Will’s integrity allows him to develop and establish trust with his clients creating collaborative and long-lasting relationships. Additionally, Will brings a genial, easygoing manner and approachable demeanor that disarms people and makes them comfortable.

Providing leadership, speaking before professionals, selecting decisionmakers

The recipient of many awards and honors, Will plays a prominent role in the bankruptcy law arena both nationally and internationally. Frequently asked to speak at professional conferences, he has been inducted into the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy and serves as the Global Chair for the Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group of the professional services network Lex Mundi. Will also sits on many American and federal bar committees tasked with analyzing the future of many areas of law and commerce.
