Firm Creates Exclusive In-House Counsel Forum for Oklahoma Attorneys
OKLAHOMA CITY – Crowe & Dunlevy is pleased to announce, on National Law Day, the creation of “In-House Oklahoma,” bringing together nearly 700 in-house counsel representing over 400 companies across the state. The forum is a community of in-house leaders who share legal best-practices in a local, peer-to-peer, networking community. The goal is to build relationships and exchange best practices through strategic programming and networking hosted in our Oklahoma office cities: Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
In-House Oklahoma’s mission is to be the choice organization for networking, best practice exchange, and legal department thought leadership among the state’s in-house counsel.
“Crowe & Dunlevy created In-House Oklahoma to be a relationship-building conduit for in-house counsel. Unlike similar organizations, only in-house counsel with significant leadership and management responsibilities in a corporation, non-profit organization, or government agency are eligible for complimentary membership,” says Crowe & Dunlevy’s William H. Hoch, a shareholder and director in the firm’s Oklahoma City office and Vice President of the firm’s Marketing and Business Development Department.
Besides the host firm, there are no other law firms or other service/product providers invited or participating. This is intended exclusively for Oklahoma’s in-house counsel.
The forum’s inaugural panel discussion event will take place on May 23, 2024, at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club and will include the following panelists:
- William Sultemeier, General Counsel, OGE Energy (Moderator)
- Dennis Cameron, General Counsel, Devon Energy
- Mandy Hayes-Chandler, Regional General Counsel, SMM Health
- Armand Paliotta, General Counsel, University of Oklahoma
- Ben Russ, EVP & General Counsel, Chesapeake Energy
- Kara Smith, General Counsel, Oklahoma Health Care Authority
- Anika Stucky, General Counsel, MidFirst Bank
“In-house innovation comes from diverse sources, and the most direct path to solving the problems in-house leadership faces every day is through collaboration with fellow legal colleagues. Members are thought leaders who understand the power of collaboration,” says Crowe & Dunlevy’s Adam W. Childers, the firm’s President and CEO.
The Crowe & Dunlevy website will provide a login-secured landing page for In-House Oklahoma where members can pose questions to their in-house colleagues with confidential responses.
The organization will host three annual events, one in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa, featuring topical industry presentations and leadership panel discussions, and one virtual (co-sponsored by the Association of Corporate Counsel).
