FDA Sets Compliance Enforcement Deadline for Menu Labeling

It has been at least four years in the making, but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) menu labeling rule is set to go into effect on May 7, 2018. Since the rule was published on December 1, 2014, the FDA has twice delayed the compliance date. However, the FDA has made public statements and is somewhat bound by an agreed court order that the rule will take effect nationwide on May 7, 2018. More.
