U.S. Supreme Court Expands Rights of Faith-Based Employers in Two Landmark Decisions

In two separate opinions, the U.S. Supreme Court made favorable decisions of importance to faith-based institutions. The cases include Our Lady of Guadalupe v. Morrissey Berru and The Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul v. Pennsylvania. Both cases expand certain employers’ rights to manage employee relations and healthcare on the basis of religious beliefs and/or moral convictions. More.
