Mylon Smith is an associate in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. He assists clients with general litigation matters as a member of the firm’s Banking & Financial Institutions, Insurance, and Litigation & Trial Practice Groups.
Mylon graduated with Honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was selected into the Order of the Barristers, served as an Articles Editor for the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal, and as an Alumni Relations Officer for the board of OU Law’s Black Law Student Association.
During law school, he received several honors and awards including the Crowe & Dunlevy Diversity Scholarship, the Judge Wayne Alley Advocacy Award, and was named as a Distinguished Speaker at the OU Law 1L Moot Court Competition. He was also listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll every semester and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Active in collegiate debate, Mylon received the Best Brief Award at the 2022 Southwest Black Law Students Association’s (SWBLSA) Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition and placed second overall in 2023. That same year, he placed third overall at the National Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Oklahoma where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha.
