Brad Welsh is a shareholder in the firm’s Tulsa office and a member of the Energy, Environment & Natural Resources, Litigation & Trial, and Administrative & Regulatory Practice Groups. With more than 20 years of energy law experience, Brad primarily represents upstream and midstream oil and gas companies in litigation and appellate matters.
His energy-related practice often involves complex matters and putative class actions, extending from post-production costs to statutory interest obligations and off-lease fuel use. He is also particularly knowledgeable concerning Gas Purchase Agreements and other marketing arrangements, and often handles production in paying quantities and related litigation concerning lease viability. He also has experience assisting clients in wind and water law matters and has handled numerous administrative appeals involving agencies within the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Brad received his juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law where he served as an Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review. He holds a Masters of Arts in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Professionally, he has been ranked by Best Lawyers in the areas of Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, and Litigation – Mergers and Acquisitions, by Oklahoma Super Lawyers in the areas of Business Litigation, Energy & Natural Resources, and Appellate Law.
