Kelly S. KinserAttorney
Kelly S. Kinser is an associate in the firm’s Oklahoma City office and is a member of the Banking & Financial Institutions, Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights, Real Estate and Wind & Renewable Energy Practice Groups.
A 2018 graduate of the Oklahoma City University School of Law, Kelly graduated summa cum laude as a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar and received 12 CALI awards for top performance. She received the Award for Outstanding Academic Performance, the Dean’s Legal Ethics Award for Excellence in Legal Ethics and the Judge Tom Brett Award for Excellence in Criminal Law. She was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and recognized with the Phi Delta Phi Berry-Opala Award. She was also named to the Dean’s List and the Faculty Honor Roll.
Prior to law school, Kelly was a National Merit Scholar at Oklahoma City University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and English literature. She served as the poetry editor for the Scarab Literary Anthology and interviewed Poet Laureate Charles Simic, which was later published in Oklahoma Humanities Magazine. Kelly previously worked as a legal assistant for a local privately-owned bank.
- Representation of shopping center owners in lease transactions with numerous national and regional retail tenants
- Representation of buyers and sellers in connection with the purchase and sale of undeveloped, office, retail, multifamily, manufactured home communities, wind farms and other commercial properties
- Representation of institutional lenders and borrowers in residential and commercial real estate secured loan transactions, including serving as counsel on CMBS loans
- Representation of institutional lenders in foreclosure and receivership matters
- Representation of creditors, including debt collectors, with respect to legal regulatory compliance and litigation matters
- Assists with numerous aspects of structuring and forming businesses, including the drafting of necessary organizational documents
- Representation of clients in the purchase, transfer, or acquisition of assets and/or ownership interests in existing businesses
- Representation of clients engaged in the business of medical marijuana with respect to real estate leasing, grower and asset sale agreements, and other general business matters
