Litigation

Ready for trial. Proven at verdict.

If a dispute put your business, reputation or balance sheet on the line, does your litigation team have the experience to take the case to verdict?

Crowe Dunlevy’s Litigation & Trial Practice combines the depth to handle large-scale, bet-the-company matters with the courtroom experience to carry them through a judge or jury trial. Approximately half of the lawyers in our firm practice in litigation, allowing us to assemble focused teams quickly, manage numerous cases across jurisdictions and forums and bring a disputed matter to the conclusion that best serves each client. Our commercial litigators represent businesses and other clients in Oklahoma and beyond in commercial disputes, insurance matters, catastrophic-loss cases and other high-exposure litigation, including select contingency-fee matters.

Our willingness to go to trial changes everything

Many firms litigate. Far fewer can point to generations of lawyers who have first-chaired significant cases, tried them to verdict and earned credibility before state and federal courts. For more than 120 years, our lawyers have handled some of the most consequential cases in Oklahoma history, including matters later chronicled in books and feature films. We pass that judgment, discipline and advocacy from one generation to the next while holding fast to the intellectual rigor, ethical approach and refusal to cut corners that define our practice. Among the trial lawyers who have practiced at Crowe Dunlevy are two former presidents of the American Bar Association and members of the American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of Trial Advocates. Our current roster also includes members of those organizations and the Litigation Counsel of America.

High-exposure cases demand control from the start

Today, the possibility of a nuclear verdict changes the risk analysis long before a jury is ever seated. We build the record, pressure-test the theory of the case and make strategic decisions with trial and appeal in view from day one. In high-exposure matters, our appellate lawyers can work alongside the litigation team from the outset to preserve appellate rights, reduce avoidable error and step in seamlessly if an appeal follows. That coordinated approach is increasingly important as businesses face expanding data breach and privacy claims, catastrophic-loss litigation and other disputes capable of producing outsized exposure.

One firm can bring the right firepower to every issue

Our litigators work across practice and industry lines, pairing courtroom judgment with the subject-matter knowledge the dispute demands. The result is a strategy informed by the client’s business, not just the pleadings.

Our work includes:

  • Commercial, contract, securities and bet-the-company disputes
  • Aviation, banking, cannabis, consumer protection and direct-selling litigation
  • Cybersecurity, data privacy and class actions
  • Debtor-creditor, receivership, unfair debt collection and ERISA matters
  • Energy, environmental, utility and oil and gas litigation
  • Healthcare, Indian law and gaming and initiative-petition disputes
  • Insurance, product liability and professional liability matters
  • Patent and intellectual property litigation, combining our IP lawyers’ technical knowledge with the courtroom strength of our litigation team

We work collaboratively with clients on strategy and the business objectives that should drive the case. Our depth allows us to deploy the right team for the matter, respond quickly and deliver innovative, cost-conscious solutions, bringing our clients lead-counsel capability and substantial courtroom experience designed to keep even major litigation efficient.

Our courtroom strength earns recognition year after year

Our lawyers have received sustained recognition from the legal industry’s leading independent publications. Benchmark Litigation named Crowe Dunlevy the 2024 Oklahoma Firm of the Year, the firm’s tenth such honor in 12 years and sixth consecutive win. The publication’s 2023 guide recognized six Local Litigation Stars, three Future Stars and six Labor and Employment Stars – South and named two Crowe Dunlevy lawyers to its 40 & Under Hot List. Chambers USA ranked the firm and its litigators Band 1 in Oklahoma in 2024, while more than 100 Crowe Dunlevy lawyers were selected for Best Lawyers 2025, including 62 recognized across litigation disciplines.*
