Vincent Named to Prestigious Trial Attorney Organization

Crowe & Dunlevy lawyer joins American Board of Trial Advocates

OKLAHOMA CITY – Crowe & Dunlevy attorney Evan G.E. Vincent was recently inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges.

Vincent is a shareholder in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. His practice focuses on representing clients in a wide variety of complex and high stakes civil litigation matters. Vincent joins fellow Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys Andrew M. Coats and J. Christopher Davis to form the exclusive list of ABOTA members in the firm’s history.

“This is a significant recognition of his skills as a trial lawyer and his courtesy and civility to all during the heat of litigation,” said Andrew M. Coats, Crowe & Dunlevy attorney and ABOTA Oklahoma Charter President. “This selection is a most important milestone in his professional life. As the Charter President of ABOTA in Oklahoma, I proudly welcome him into the fold.”

Founded in 1958, ABOTA is an invitation-only attorney organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion, and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism by following the organization’s Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.

“Evan’s induction into ABOTA is a significant career milestone, reserved for only those very few trial attorneys who have distinguished themselves with trial experience,” said J. Christopher Davis, Crowe & Dunlevy attorney and fellow ABOTA member. “One cannot just ‘join’ ABOTA. Membership has to be earned and it is by invitation only, and even then only after heavy vetting is done to ensure each member has the track record and reputation of having high ethical standards while also demonstrating effective trial skills. There are many litigators, but very few trial attorneys who will fit the caliber of ABOTA membership. Our litigation department is thrilled, but not surprised to see Evan receive this honor.”

Vincent is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law and earned an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple Law School. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma.

He was inducted as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America in 2019 and has achieved the Advocate designation from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Vincent has an AV peer review rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named a Rising Star by Oklahoma Super Lawyers since 2012, been named an Oklahoma Future Star by Benchmark Litigation since 2018, been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List in 2016 and from 2018-2022, and has been listed in Best Lawyers for Appellate Practice since 2019.*
